PROJECT SUMMARY

As a specialist in ceilings, we were approached by Sharkey to assist with the new Market Street Hotel in Edinburgh. For the restaurant/bar area, the client required the ceiling to provide a Class A acoustic rating whilst having a high-quality smooth plaster finish. We came up with the perfect solution. Working with the contractor and the client’s design team we proposed the use of the Stil Acoustic F1 system. Due to the complex detailing and shape of the ceiling the manufacturer did have some concerns regarding the level of install required to achieve the clients’ expectations. However, working with the manufacturer and using our experienced operatives we managed to produce a ceiling finish that the client, architect and contractor were all delighted with. In addition to the acoustic plaster ceilings, we also installed feature mirror ceilings to the reception area and lift lobby area, together with MF plasterboard ceilings and feature light troughs.
