PROJECT SUMMARY

We welcomed the opportunity to help build an exciting new development, Spiceball Leisure Centre for Cherwell District Council. The facilities were designed and built to several exacting design standards including sport England, ASA, ISRM and OFSTED.

Across three floors, the Centre includes an impressive ground floor entrance reception atrium, two swimming pools, sports hall, café, fitness suite, squash courts, spa pool, sauna and steam rooms, dance studios, treatment rooms and offices.

With just 12 weeks to complete, we were contracted to install:

• a British Gypsum Rigitone ceiling within the dance studios to provide acoustic performance,
• a specialist air-tight plasterboard ceiling within the swimming pool,
• 2000m2 of Armstrong mineral fibre acoustic ceilings to general areas and office spaces, and
• complex curved bulkheads and partitions to create a stunning entrance in the atrium.
